While the focus of MOC Alliance is on the academic community, some projects will have a long-term impact on commercial clouds. The goal of the MOC Alliance is not to limit these projects, but rather to provide a structure to ensure the success of the projects with a regional/academic focus, and in so doing, to provide a launching pad for the larger success of the individual projects.
