The Massachusetts AI Hub is a statewide initiative launched in 2024 by the Healey-Driscoll Administration to position Massachusetts as a global leader in using AI to unlock new frontiers of problem-solving.

Aiming to “connect, accelerate and scale AI initiatives that advance innovation, economic growth, workforce development and public good across Massachusetts", the Mass AI Hub seeks to “operate as a neutral convener and catalyst to translate AI leadership into broad-based economic and societal benefit."

The Massachusetts AI Hub is partnering with the MGHPCC to create the MGHPCC Artificial Intelligence Computing Resource (AICR), a high-performance computing resource designed to accelerate and support AI research and innovation in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The AI Hub and AICR serve complementary roles. The AI Hub brings together organizations and individuals working in artificial intelligence across Massachusetts, while AICR provides the advanced computing resources that support AI research, experimentation, and training. Together, they connect people, institutions, and infrastructure in support of AI-related work across the region.
