The MGHPCC is one of seventeen national deployment sites and a leadership partner in the Open Storage Network (OSN), a distributed storage infrastructure designed to support sharing of active scientific data across the research community.

The Open Storage Network provides researchers with access to high-capacity, high-bandwidth storage that makes it easier to share, distribute, and work with large datasets. By connecting storage resources across multiple institutions, OSN helps researchers move data more efficiently and reduces many of the technical and administrative barriers that can make collaboration difficult.

At MGHPCC, OSN complements other computing, networking, and cyberinfrastructure initiatives by providing shared storage and data access services for researchers across institutions. The network hosts a wide range of scientific datasets and provides a shared platform that enables researchers to access, analyze, and reuse data across institutional boundaries. Researchers use OSN to share and access datasets ranging from machine-learning-ready bioimaging collections and ocean simulations to Earth science, geophysical, and digital library resources.
