MGHPCC Heads to SC26

October 28, 2026

Behind every major scientific breakthrough is an infrastructure that makes discovery possible. This November at SC26, MGHPCC will share the stories of researchers, technologists, and institutions working together to advance science through high performance computing, data-intensive research, and artificial intelligence.

The Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) is excited to announce its participation in SC26, the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis. As one of the nation's leading collaborations in advanced research computing, MGHPCC will be represented through both an in-person exhibit and a virtual presence, highlighting the groundbreaking science and innovation enabled by the center and its member institutions.

SC brings together researchers, technology leaders, educators, and industry partners from around the world to explore the latest advances in high performance computing and data-intensive science. This year's event provides an opportunity to showcase how researchers are using advanced computing resources to tackle some of society's most pressing challenges, from climate prediction and artificial intelligence to biomedical discovery, engineering, and fundamental science.

At Booth #3255, MGHPCC will showcase more than 75 computationally intensive research projects from member institutions and partner organizations, highlighting a diverse portfolio of work enabled by the center's world-class computing infrastructure. Featured research spans artificial intelligence, health and medicine, energy, climate science, materials science, astrophysics, computer science, and other data- and compute-intensive disciplines, demonstrating how high performance computing is accelerating discovery across fields and empowering scientists to work at unprecedented scale. The exhibit will also highlight shared infrastructure and collaborative initiatives, including the AI Compute Resource (AICR), as well as MGHPCC's unique partnership model that brings together universities, research organizations, and industry leaders to advance scientific computing and strengthen the broader research ecosystem.

In addition to the physical exhibit, MGHPCC has created an extensive virtual booth designed to extend the reach and lifespan of our SC26 presence. The virtual experience provides global access to project profiles, research highlights, videos, institutional initiatives, and information about MGHPCC programs and services. Beyond showcasing current accomplishments, the virtual booth serves as a window into the breadth of research enabled by the MGHPCC community and as an invitation for new researchers, educators, students, and partners to engage with our ecosystem.

For more than a decade, MGHPCC has served as a hub for innovation in advanced computing, providing the infrastructure and partnerships needed to support cutting-edge research. Our participation at SC26 reflects the remarkable work being conducted by our community and the growing importance of computational science in addressing complex global challenges.

We invite conference attendees, collaborators, and members of the research community to visit, in-person or online, explore the featured projects, and learn more about the people and technologies driving discovery forward.
